Note: The feed rates shown above are recommended for straight cutting the majority of Sintered/UCS/Porcelain stones except Dekton® Aura and Dekton® Zenith. These materials should be cut at a maximum 0.50m/min on 20mm thickness.

When 45° mitre cutting any Sintered/UCS/Porcelain stones, the feed rate must be reduced by 30-40%.

Feed rates must also be reduced by 40-50% when entering and exiting the cut.

DL200 Mitre Blade must always be used wet, with sufficient water flow.

Pre-Cutting: Sintered/UCS/Porcelain stones must be cut on a flat solid wood or rubber bed/table, as the blade can blow out the stone when entering and exiting if the ends are mid-air/overhanging on a slatted bed.

Tension Cuts: All Sintered/UCS/Porcelain stone slabs need to be trimmed on all four sides to reduce tension. We recommend the thickness + 10mm (i.e. 20mm thick stone + 10mm = 30mm trimmed on all four sides) prior to cutting stone to template.

Tension cuts must be carried out in the following sequence:-

  • First cut: One of the long edges.
  • Second cut: One short edge in the direction of first cut.
  • Third cut: The other long edge in the direction of second cut.
  • Fourth cut: The remaining short edge (can be cut in either direction).

Radial Arm Polishing System (RAPS)

Keep RAPS discs moving when in contact with stone surface, as if left stationary in one place stone can overheat, burn and or leave swirl marks particularly on quartz/engineered stone, which can be difficult to remove.

Also when polishing near or close to the edge of the stone, the RAPS disc mustn’t go more than 30% maximum of its diameter over the edge, as this can tip the disc and damage/break off the diamond segments.

They should be positioned on all sides of the sink cut-out, including front and back rails (use clamps if available) and use at least three or four suction cups inside the bowl to secure the cut-out.

When installing our DL2 Routers set tool height so the bottom of the diamond segments clear the underside of the stone.

Higher temperatures shorten the working time and lower temperatures extend the working time. After 20-30 minutes, the adhesive is fully cured and work can continue with the stone. For indoor use only. Do NOT store above 75°F (24°C)

Storage: Store indoors at room temperature. Do NOT store above 75°F (24°C). High heat and cold temperatures will adversely affect the shelf life. Avoid storage in direct sunlight and where freeze/thaw conditions may exist.

Stone-Stik Colour Pastes

To tint the adhesive, start by dispensing the desired amount of adhesive needed for your application into a disposable cup. Due to the concentrated nature of the colourants, it is recommended to add small amounts starting with lighter colours (white) working up to the darker colours (black). DO NOT ADD MORE THAN 5% colouring paste compared to the amount of the adhesive you are working with. For pre-coloured adhesives, use less colourant. Our Colouring Paste can be used with ALL GTS Stone-Stik Glues. Store in a climate controlled room. If product has been unused for an extended period of time, shake well before use. Storage: Store indoors at room temperature. Do NOT store above 75°F (24°C). High heat and cold temperatures will adversely affect the shelf life.
